Yorba Park reopens Monday Mar. 25, 2004 By JIT FONG CHIN Orange City News Residents will be able to stroll in Yorba Park but not let their dogs run free yet when city employees reopen the park on Monday. Yorba Park, a former landfill, was closed in August 1999 that city employees could install a methane gas system. The park reopening was delayed while city decided if a dog park should be built there. Yorba Park will be open as a passive park every day from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. No organized sports programs will be allowed at the park. Two pedestrian gates will be unlocked from the parking lot to the park, but other access gates at Chapman Avenue and Yorba Street will remain closed. The park has no restrooms.
